Guardian Edinburgh is our latest local blog

Over the past few weeks we've launched an experiment in local newsgathering in two British cities, with our Leeds blog and its companion in Cardiff.

A new Edinburgh blog today joins the stable, under the care of Tom Allan. Our hope is that Tom will be able to use new models for journalism in the service of the people of Edinburgh.

You can find out a little more about the local project in my post announcing the launch of the Leeds blog.

Now that the local project has been up and running for a few weeks, we'd be glad to hear what you think, especially about Edinburgh.
