Guardian Daily: Who's backing Ken?

It's emerged that Ken Livingstone, the celebrated lefty, is being advised on his mayoral campaign by New Labour's finest: Alastair Campbell, Phillip Gould and even Tony Blair himself. Matthew Taylor looks at who this suggests is more worried about next week's elections - Livingstone or the Labour party.

The education editor, Polly Curtis, discusses the teachers' strike, which has seen 8,000 schools across the country either closed or seriously disrupted, and examines whether the strikers have any chance of winning the pay rise they're after.
