Guardian Daily: Political parties face tighter funding rules

Neither the shadow chancellor, George Osborne, nor the business secretary, Peter Mandelson, are known to have broken any rules in their meetings with the Russian aluminium magnate Oleg Deripaska on his luxury yacht in Corfu. But, as our Westminster correspondent David Hencke explains, the affair may result in a tightening of party funding rules.
