In the 1930s 2,400 British men and women travelled to Spain to fight in the civil war against fascism. Now, 70 years later, veterans have been honoured by the Spanish government and awarded citizenship. One of the men who fought is 94-year-old Sam Lesser, who still bears two bullet scars from the conflict.
