Guardian Camera Club: Scouserdave's portfolio review
Mersey Ferry: Three really nice landscapes of Liverpool, shot by David, a scouser, we presume. The photographer seems to have a real feeling for city. The colour is a bit over enhanced. The pictures are strong enough to stand without the over saturation Photograph: Scouserdave/flickrLiverpool SunrisePhotograph: Scouserdave/flickrRiver Mersey Sunset: View from Liverpool looking towards Wirral Photograph: Scouserdave/flickr
Ongpin Street, Manila, Philippines: The main business area of Manila's Chinatown. This Manila picture is OK as a busyish street scene but enhancing the colour hasn't really saved it. The main interest in the picture is the reflections in the wet road. Perhaps a close up of the shop front and the reflections would have been a more successful shotPhotograph: Scouserdave/flickrPoppy Field and Sky, Hertfordshire: Near Lemsford and Welwyn Garden City.In his other travel pictures, like this one from Hertfordshire, the photographer has again over cooked the colour. However the bright red of the poppies is just this side of believablePhotograph: Scouserdave/flickrSwiss Garden, Old Warden: Near Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.A good use of fill in flash, which has introduced a note of unreality. This has meant that the colour hasn't needed to be boosted as much Photograph: Scouserdave/flickr
