Guardian Camera Club: robguv on House building and construction
Guardian_June_assignment1: The graphic quality of this picture works well, using lines, texture, colour and text, but a more exciting angle could have been attempted. A bit of work on photoshop with curves and levels would make it a punchier shot Photograph: robguv /flickrSG1L5930_edited-1 : This picture is nice and graphic but again needs some photoshop work. It could do with being taken a bit further back so you get a real sense of danger of the man balancing on top of the building Photograph: robguv/flickrSG1L5956_edited-1: This is quite a funny shot with the man clambering on the digger, and the colours are nice too, but cutting off someone's feet is a basic error. Better to crop just above the knee or keep the feet inPhotograph: movilla/flickr
SG1L5958_edited-1: This is one of those pictures that can work because it's a bit odd, but some might find it a bit boring. If the colours were worked up and the contrast increased then it would be quite pleasingPhotograph: robguv/flickrSG1L6013_edited-1: This shot needs to be taken a lot lot further back. It's interesting to see the context of the construction site, and the picture set really needs a shot that gives you a sense of the placePhotograph: robguv/flickrSG1L6043_edited-1: A shot like this that uses the shape of the scaffolding in an abstract way really needs to be taken straight on. You want some of the lines to be parallel with the edges of the picture. As it's the lines that are interesting (in the way they play with scale and perspective) it might be better to lose the building altogether, concentrating on a detail where it's just line and sky perhaps. Also, up the contrast in photoshopPhotograph: robguv/flickr
