Bedford rowing boats. Bedford is famous for sports such as athletics, rugby and rowing. The largest one-day river rowing regatta in the UK is held on its River Great Ouse each May. There are two clubs, Bedford Rowing Club & Star Rowing Club, together with groups from the town's major schools.
