Wrap Around: Another view of the JS Bach / Zaha Hadid Architects commission at Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester, UK. I want to go back there when there aren't as many, (ideally no), people about. The silhouette of the figures provides a end point to the sweeping curves of the distinctive architecture which is reminiscent of a helter skelter. This works well in black and whitePhotograph: Mr sAg/flickrZaha: Thought I'd squeeze another shot from my trips to Manchester Art Gallery's JS Bach / Zaha Hadid commission. Nice converging diagonal lines. The colour of this picture provides a very different feel to the previous image, seeming softer and more diffused, but with a subtle texturePhotograph: Mr sAg/flickrRibs: The canal down in Castlefield, Manchester. This image also has strong, graphic elements, but has less abstract beauty than the previous picture Photograph: Mr sAg/flickr
Big Brother: Castleton, Rochdale, Lancashire, UK. A sinister cctv camera. The emphasis on scale highlights how much the camera towers over the nearby houses. The camera is dominant both physically and metaphorically. The composition could have been improved by a slight change in position of the chimney on the right hand sidePhotograph: Mr sAg/flickrModest: Manchester, UK. Interesting textures, which highlight the difference in architectural stylePhotograph: Mr sAg/flickrBeat Bobby: Millennium Quarter, Manchester, UK. This would perhaps have worked better in colour, with the neon lights and policeman's uniform. The image composition is a bit confusing as there is no obvious focul pointPhotograph: Mr sAg/flickr
