Guardian Camera Club: movilla on House building and construction
Twelfth Night: One minute walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station, Central Saint Giles is a new development by Renzo Piano. The usual combination of offices, apartments and retail outlets, the colourful facades certainly make it stand out. Advertising hoarding on the ground level of Central Saint Giles. I think the owners have high hopes for the new development and I can see why. The piazza area looks to have great potential. This is a strong set of pictures which work well together. The colours are great and the compositions quite graphic. The most successful are the ones that are shot straight on. The picture of the helmet is a nice detail but a different crop could have improved it - it's almost too busy. The same goes for number five, despite it being an interesting moment. Number six is really bold and I'm curious to know what traffic he's supervising up there... Many thanks to Lee from site security, I was allowed to hang around the site while cranes were being lowered for removal. Photograph: movilla/flickr
