Guardian camera club: Michelle Read on photographing a 24-hour narrative
6am - Basic needs: I start everyday with two strong cups of coffee, if I don't I have a headache by mid morning!Photograph: Michelle Read/Flickr6.30am - First light: View from my flat when I opened my curtainsPhotograph: Michelle Read/Flickr8.00am - Arrival at work: I work as a Science teacher. This is the door to the prep room where all the paperwork is stored and the practicals are prepared. My lab backs onto the school field and the reflection of this from the windows opposite gave a ghostly overlay of the outside world, compared to the work day aheadPhotograph: Michelle Read/Flickr
8.30am - Circuits: During the day I was going to teach a lesson on electricity so one of my first jobs was to get the circuit boards out and check that the batteries were all still working before the students arrived to use them Photograph: Michelle Read/Flickr3.00pm - Drying glassware: I liked the effect of the craked plastic and rust underneath when I took a close up picture of the drying rack used for the washed up glassware from the day's Chemistry practicals Photograph: Michelle Read/Flickr5.00pm - Rush hour: As I drove home through the rush hour traffic I liked the view of the traffic in front and behind simultaneously by photographing the windscreen with the rearview mirror included Photograph: Michelle Read/Flickr
