So glad I decided to try shooting with the flash held in one hand and the camera in the other on a wide angle lens. Yes I am literally next to him! Didn't get bashed though as I think he realised as soon as their van turned up the masked bunch had left leaving just a couple of photographers, security guards and passers by in the street!
