Guardian camera club: Laramie Shubber on photographing street portraiture
Artist. My first subject was quite shy but seemed content to let me take a snap as he continued drawing Photograph: Laramie Shubber/FlickrAlbert. I took my photos around Kings Cross. With so much construction going on around the area, I couldn't let the assignment pass without taking a snap of one of the workers. This is Albert! Photograph: Laramie Shubber/FlickrSmiling woman. This lady was very happy (and even flattered) to pose for me Photograph: Laramie Shubber/Flickr
Omar. This is Omar who I met him by a coffee stand. He was also very obliging and I was able to snap this picture of him lounging in the sun Photograph: Laramie Shubber/FlickrCatching up on the day. I spotted my final subject from the street above, he seemed a bit bemused when I approached him and said that I wanted to take his photograph but agreed. We didn't talk much, I think I was disturbing his cigarette break Photograph: Laramie Shubber/FlickrCoffee and tea. I bought a cup of tea from this man and got to take his portrait in exchange Photograph: Laramie Shubber/Flickr
