Gesticulaciones: Gesticulating Spaniards in Sitges, just south of Barcelona. Sometimes two hands just aren't enough to get the message acrossPhotograph: hogsvilleBrit/FlickrHairy Peach: Very bizarre sight this morning in the woods just round the corner from where I live. A wild peach tree (or similar) among the normal trees and undergrowth. Someone had obviously cast his seed (or peach stone) a couple of years ago, and this is the result, caught in a very low autumn sunPhotograph: hogsvilleBrit/FlickrIf only you could hear reflections...: Reflections in a pond on the Darmstadt Rosenhöhe. The squiggles remind me of musical notationPhotograph: hogsvilleBrit/Flickr
Long Louis: Long Louis, as the natives of Darmstadt call him, is a statue of Ludwig I, Grand Duke of Hesse. After I took the photo, I had to go back to work out exactly what was going on here. The rightmost section is the shadow of the gate on a very uneven sandstone wall inside the castlePhotograph: hogsvilleBrit/FlickrOne moment in time in Darmstadt: One eight thousandth of a second. Skived off work early to take some pictures. It's been subzero for what seems like months now, and I wasn't expecting the fountain in Darmstadt's Prinz-Georg-Garten to be up and spurting, but it was. This is one of many contre jour pics I took when the sun was setting this afternoonPhotograph: hogsvilleBrit/FlickrPlanet Artichoke: An artichoke on a Darmstadt market stall. This reminds me of a gang of aliens in a Gary Larson cartoon, joking about what to do with a hapless earthling they've just capturedPhotograph: hogsvilleBrit/Flickr
