1 Jujitsuka. This is the state of my knuckles after last night's Jujitsu session Photograph: Duncan Gunn/Flickr2 Record Collector. I tried to take a shot with me looking through the hole in the old record but it didn't work at all. I've donned my vintage baker boy cap for the shot Photograph: Duncan Gunn/Flickr3 Clarinet Player. I wanted the focus of this shot to be on the hands and keys; focussing on the instrument with the player in the background Photograph: Duncan Gunn/Flickr
4 Architect. A fan-like composition of the old 'tools of the trade'. Nowadays, of course, I sit in front of the computer Photograph: Duncan Gunn/Flickr5 The Painter. I intended for the painted self-portrait (painted in 1990) to have eye contact with the camera and for me (the subject) to be looking away, to create a slightly disarming composure Photograph: Duncan Gunn/Flickr6 The Photographer. I have used an old film camera of mine to show where I started; in the darkroomPhotograph: Duncan Gunn/Flickr
