Five Guardian and the Observer commentators have been honoured with six Editorial Intelligence Comment awards. The awards, which are now in their ninth year, celebrate the achievements of the UK’s finest and most influential print and online commentators and their editors.

  • Arts, Culture and Entertainment Commentator of The Year - Rachel Cooke, The Observer
  • Comment Piece of the Year - Riz Ahmed, the Guardian
  • Commentariat of the Year and Political Commentator of the Year - Marina Hyde, the Guardian
  • Society and Diversity Commentator of the Year - Nesrine Malik, writing for the Guardian
  • Young Commentariat of the Year - Hannah Jane Parkinson, the Guardian
