Guard Nick Easton expected to be medically cleared

Nick Easton missed the entire 2018 season due to a neck injury. He underwent surgery and it appears as if he’ll finally be medically cleared to play.

Prior to the season, Easton was projected as the team’s starting left guard.

“I’m not going to talk about game-planning or anything like that,” Vikings GM Rick Spielman said Wednesday at the NFL Scouting Combine via the Star Tribune. “but medically he should be cleared.”

The guard is a free agent, and it feels like he could return to the Vikings on a low-risk one-year deal.

Easton isn’t great, but at the same time, he’d be a welcomed signing for a team in desperate need of offensive line help.
