Gü launch new Wild Strawberry and Clotted Cream puddings - ideal for summer

Looking to wow and delight friends and family at your post- lockdown party or maybe you just fancy an after dinner dessert to enjoy in the garden that will tick all the right boxes? Look no further than ’s latest treat.

Strawberries and cream are quintessentially British and quite the combination. In celebration of summer, Gü have partnered with Cornish clotted cream brand, Rodda’s, to launch their new Wild Strawberry & Clotted Cream Cheesecakes.

Priced at £3.30, Gü’s Wild Strawberry & Clotted Cream Cheesecakes are sold in twin packs and are packaged in Gü’s much-loved glass ramekins which are fully recyclable, though we like to put a tealight in ours and use it as a candle holder. The new flavour is available in Waitrose and Sainsbury’s and you'll often find this new cheesecake flavour on promotion over the summer.

The desserts will be launching in other major retailers from June and will take a permanent place in the brands cheesecake line up.

This classic combination has been carefully crafted by Gü’s head chef, Fred Ponnavoy, to create a creamy, indulgent taste of summer. In each spoonful, a refreshing wild strawberry compote sits on a layer of Rodda’s smooth clotted cream and mascarpone cheesecake, on top of a crumbly biscuit base. The perfect al-fresco dessert to enjoy in the summer sun.

And Gü aren’t the only ones treating us to a scrummy new dessert option.

Marks and Spencer’s are treating us to a range of new puddings and desserts - including a 63 calorie per serving, Count on Us Madagascan Vanilla Ice Cream. Priced at £3, it’s the low fat treat you’ve been looking for.

They’ve also brought back their popular salted caramel and pink gin creams which will taste sensational over anything.

Speaking of cakes, M&S also now deliver birthday cakes - perfect for those stuck in lockdown. One of the cakes includes a Colin the Caterpillar gift bag which includes vegetarian jelly sweets, balloon and reusable tote. Perfect for weekly shopping with.

This plus many other cakes and hampers can be delivered straight to the birthday person’s house - contactless.

Tesco have also recently started selling some Mars cakes. Included in the delicious-sounding lineup, there’s a Malteaser button cake, Galaxy Ripple and Magic Stars cake.

All would be welcome at our next birthday party.
