'GTA Online' Casino Features Reportedly Restricted in Australia
Reports indicate that the restriction affects multiple activities within the Diamond Casino & Resort. Australian players are reportedly unable to access Casino House, Three Card Poker, Inside Track, Lucky Wheel, Blackjack, Roulette, and Slots.
According to reports, dataminer Tex2 discovered code suggesting that the restrictions are tied to a player's territory. If accurate, this could indicate that the change is specifically targeting users in Australia rather than being caused by a widespread technical problem.

How Gambling Works in 'GTA Online'
The casino system in "GTA Online" uses virtual currency rather than allowing players to place direct bets with real money. Players can purchase Casino Chips using GTA$, the game's in-game currency. GTA$ can be earned by playing the game or obtained indirectly through Shark Cash Cards, which are purchased using real-world money.
Any winnings from casino activities remain part of the game's virtual economy and cannot be legally exchanged for real-world cash. However, because players can purchase GTA$ with real money, the casino system has continued to attract attention from regulators and gaming authorities.
In Australia, video games containing simulated gambling are subject to an R18+ classification. "GTA Online" has historically carried this rating, allowing its casino content to remain available under the country's existing classification system.
