A sustained period of growth has prompted a move to a new home for a Coventry engineering company.
SAC & Co Engineering Design supplies engineering design and manufacturing solutions to the automotive, defence and aerospace sectors.
The company had been operating from a warehouse in the Tile Hill area of the city but has moved across the city to Binley Industrial Estate.
Holt Commercial acted for the landlord in the letting of the building to the company, which has worked with some of the country’s premier coach building companies and collaborated with marques such as Aston Martin, Bentley and Jaguar Land Rover.
Its expansion has also heralded a growth in the workforce, with a recruitment drive planned in the coming months.
The company has also invested heavily in new technology as part of its increasing work in the field of restoring classic vehicles on behalf of private individuals.
MD Steve Charlton said: “We started the company in 2007 and since then we’ve tripled our workforce every 18 months.
“The new premises will give us the platform to expand our business further in state-of-the-art facilities.
“We’ve invested both in the property and in technology and people to ensure that we continue our growth drive.
“We have carried out some extensive refurbishment to the premises – floor to ceiling – and both Holt Commercial and the landlord were on hand to make this run smoothly.”
