Growing Glasgow accountants open Manchester base

Scottish accountant Wylie & Bisset has opened a new office in Manchester as it targets significant growth in England.

The expansion move by the Glasgow-headquartered firm follows hot on the heels of its acquisition of fellow city-based practice McLellan Harris.

The new office in Manchester, where the firm already has a number of clients, is headed by joint managing partner Ross McLauchlan, together with partners Scott Gillon and Graham Gillespie, and managed by Neil Clark.

McLauchlan said: “The opening of this office marks our commitment to build upon the success we have achieved in the north of England to date.

“Our core strength is our independence and we are now at the start of a phase whereby we see further expansion in acquisitions and organic growth, supported by the strong numbers within the business that allow us to do that.”

Wylie & Bisset has nearly doubled in size over the last decade. It currently has 10 partners and 120 staff and plans to achieve further significant growth over the short to medium term.
