A Derbyshire roofing products firm has announced plans to take on more staff as part of its ongoing expansion plans.
Permaroof UK, which has its head office in Alfreton, is one of the largest importers and distributors of Firestone RubberCover roofing products and single ply EPDM rubber roofing systems.
Earlier this year, the firm, which started 20 years ago as a felt roof company, increased its warehouse space by 22,000 sq ft, allowing it to hold more stock and increasing production capacity.
It also made its first acquisition, adding skylight and rooflight supplier The Skylight Company to its ranks.
Now, Permaroof UK, which currently employs more than 32 people across the country, is looking to add to its sales team.
It is looking to fill sales roles for the south east, as well as internal sales positions, by the end of this month.
A recent addition is Terry O’Hare, who has joined Permaroof as regional sales manager, covering the south of England where the firm is aiming to develop relationships with merchant stockists and installers.
Mr O’Hare, who has joined the business from SIG Building Plastics/General All-Purpose Plastics, said: “This is an exciting time to be joining Permaroof.
“The company has big plans for the future and I’m looking forward to being part of those ambitions.
“The growth opportunities in the south of England are unbelievable and I’m excited to start raising Permaroof’s profile in this area and showcasing what the firm has to offer to a new customer base.”
According to managing director Adrian Buttress, over the past five years alone Permaroof UK has tripled its turnover organically.
