An award-winning Derbyshire transport firm looks set to create more jobs after securing a deal for an additional building.
Silver X Logistics, based at Alfreton, has signed up for a 27,000 sq ft warehouse unit, just off the A38, near Junction 28 of the M1, in a deal brokered by FHP Property Consultants.
The news comes just 18 months after the firm said it was creating up to 30 jobs by adding 30,000 sq ft of space to its e-commerce fulfilment site in Codnor.
Silver X provides logistics solutions for a range of customers, including blue-chip online retailers, large local manufacturers and small businesses.
Its services include same day and contract haulage, warehousing and e-commerce, as well as home delivery.
At this year’s Derby Telegraph Business Awards, the firm secured the Leadership Team of the Year Award.
The company was also a runner up in the Customer Service Excellence Award category.
Tim Gilbertson, from FHP, said: “When asked to market the space, as always I immediately approached a most likely party to take the building and was therefore able to quickly show them round, agree terms and instruct solicitors without the need for boards, marketing or any additional cost being incurred on behalf of clients.
“It is always particularly satisfying to conclude a deal in this way as it is our market knowledge which is key and enables us to fill space where others can sometimes struggle.”
