Growing Derby creative agency moves to larger city centre studio and takes on new staff

A Derby creative agency has moved to larger premises in the city centre and taken on new staff due to continued growth.

Think3 has relocated from Connect Derby’s Marble Hall business centre to a new office in the city’s Cathedral Quarter, which is five times larger than its previous base.

The full service creative and digital marketing agency, which was only founded last year, said it needed to move due to a growing list of clients.

Its newly-refurbished studio has been designed by the agency’s founders in order to provide a "collaborative working space" for the team, as well as allowing clients to experience the services on offer in the Think3 "hub".

As at its previous home, the firm has installed a bespoke bar as the focal point of the studio, providing a networking space for visitors and guests.

Grant Thompson, creative lead at Think3, said “Covid-19 had a big impact on the way we operated as a business and we quickly needed to adapt in order to continue providing a great service to our clients and business partners.

“We’d identified that our existing studio space was fast-becoming too small for us to operate from both safely and creatively.

“The Connect Derby offices were the perfect starting place for us when we were established last year and the entire team will be sad to leave our very first studio.

“The new studio, spread over two floors, will give the business the opportunity to grow further to meet the growing demand from new clients that the agency has secured during the lockdown and existing ones.

“While many have been moving away from the city, we are a Derby-based business and part of the business community.

“Our new headquarters, in the heart of the city, will provide the perfect location for us to grow further in line with our business plans over the next few years at least.”

In the last month the agency has seen two additional recruits joining the team.

Annabel Goulden has joined as business development manager, while Chris Impey joins the firm’s development team headed up by founding partner Gaz Jones.

Gaz said “We are delighted to be able to provide more opportunities for jobs within Derby as we expand our service offer over the coming months.

“Chris brings a wealth of experience to the team and will be heavily involved in the development of websites for our clients and Annabel has already hit the ground running sourcing new clients for us to work with.”
