Growing concerns for wellbeing of Edinburgh missing teen

Edinburgh Police have launched an appeal to locate a missing teenager who was last seen in the Calder Gardens area of the city.

17-year-old Vo Van Tu has not been spotted since 7.30 am on Wednesday, 21 April and cops say there are concerns for his wellbeing.

Vo Van Tu is Vietnamese and he is described as being around 'around 5ft 6, slim to medium build, with short dark hair.'

Police say he is believed to be wearing a red puffer jacket and dark trousers. Vo Van Tu speaks only limited English and anyone with information on his whereabouts should come forward as soon as possible.

Inspector Caroline Flynn, from Drylaw Police Station, said: “We have growing concerns for Vo Van Tu’s wellbeing, partly due to his limited English and the length of time since he was last seen.

“If you believe you have seen him in Edinburgh or may know his whereabouts, please contact police on 101, quoting incident 2896 of 21 April.”
