Growing concerns for missing Scots teenager who may have travelled to Glasgow

A frantic search has been launched for a missing Scots teenager who may have travelled by train to Glasgow.

There's growing concerns for the welfare of Gary Smith, from Johnstone, who hasn't been seen since around 12.15pm on Friday, June 4.

When the 15-year-old was last spotted he was in the Floors Street area of the town.

Officers are appealing for the public's assistance in tracing Gary.

He is described as around 5 ft 4, with black hair and was last seen wearing a black North Face jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and black/grey trainers.

Sergeant Callum MacTaggart said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for Gary's welfare and want to ensure he is safe and well.

"He is known to frequent the Glasgow City Centre, Paisley and Clydebank areas.

"We believe he may have taken a train to Glasgow.

"If you have seen Gary, or have any knowledge of his whereabouts, please contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1561 of June 4."
