Growing concern for missing Scot last seen walking along main road

Police searching for a missing Scots man believe he was walking along a main road when last seen.

Rees McCallum was reported missing from the Plean area, just south of Stirling yesterday, and officers are "growing increasingly concerned" for his wellbeing.

The 21-year-old was last seen in the Henderson Place area of the village at about 7am on Thursday August 19.

Now police believe he may have been walking along the A91 at about 11.30am on the same day, between the Muirton and Manor Towis roundabouts, in the direction of Blairlogie.

Rees is described as being white, about 5ft 3in and is of a slim build with short dark brown hair.

He is believed to be wearing a dark grey Superdry hooded top, a white t-shirt, navy tracksuit bottoms and dark Vans shoes.

In addition, he is thought to be in possession of a dark grey Superdry backpack.

Chief Inspector Gill Marshall appealed for anyone who may have seen Rees to get in touch.

She said: “As time passes, we’re growing increasingly concerned for Rees’s wellbeing and are appealing for anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to please come forward.

“If you have any information which could assist our enquiries, please contact police on 101, quoting incident 3029 of 19 August.”
