'Growing concern' for missing man who vanished in Fife

Police in Fife are appealing for help to locate a 34-year-old man reported missing in Glenrothes.

Ross Mclean was last seen leaving a property in the area of Balgonie Place in the Fife town, sometime in the afternoon of Sunday August 14, and has not been heard from since. Fife Division officers say there are "growing concerns" for his welfare.

The 34-year-old is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, and of slim build, with short brown hair and some facial hair. Police have issued a detailed description of the clothes he was wearing when he was last seen.

He was reportedly wearing a blue Carhartt sweatshirt, a khaki green baseball cap, a white Vans t-shirt, black Adidas shorts with white stripes, black Adidas socks and navy blue Adidas shoes with white stripes.

Police have urged members of the public to keep an eye out for Ross, and to report any information or sightings to them as soon as possible.

A force spokesperson said: "Anyone who may have seen Ross since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 4177 of 14th August."
