Grow A Garden Harvest Reaper Event Guide – Severed Spine, Rewards & More

The Ghoul Garden update for Grow a Garden is live, and Part 3 of this particular event brings with it the Harvest Reaper, a mysterious entity that demands Plants in exchange for a handful of rewards. If you are wondering how to complete the ritual and what its potential rewards are, you’ve come to the right place.

How to Complete the Grow a Garden Harvest Reaper Event

The Harvest Reaper spawns at the center of the game world and is instantly recognizable. If you don’t notice him there, chances are that he might have already left.  In that case, there’s really no need to worry. The Harvest Reaper alternates between Witch and Dead Tree every two hours, so you can always come back to him later.

To complete the quest, follow these steps in sequence:

  • There will be a total of 25 Ritual Plates floating mid-air, surrounding the Harvest Reaper.
  • Each plate is unique, and requires you to submit a different kind of Plant.
  • The Plant names will be clearly mentioned on each plate.
  • Walk up to a plate, and interact with it using the E key to submit the Plant it requires. Make sure it's equipped first.
  • Hit the Submit button to conclude.

When it's done, the flame should turn from orange to blue. Submit all 25 Plants to the Harvest Reaper, and you will be rewarded.

All Harvest Reaper Event Rewards for Grow a Garden

After completing the summoning ritual, you can access the following rewards from the Harvest Reaper:

Item Name Quantity Drop Chance
Severed Spine Head 25,000 a run N/A
Candy Corn N/A N/A
Spooky Chest 5 71.43%
Spooky Egg 3 14.29%
Halloween Gear Box 3 14.29%

The Candy Corn has a 100% drop guarantee and will be handed over each time you exchange a Plant. On the other hand, the Severed Spine is a limited item, being restricted to 25,000 copies per visit of the Harvest Reaper.

In other words, if you missed out on it the first time, you can always wait for the Harvest Reaper to respawn and try your luck again. Don’t try to steal a Severed Spine from other players, though, as this might cause it to punish you (applies to only a certain range).
