This is about a young girl called Laura Sibbie. she buys a cap at a garbage sale. The hat becomes part of her and she wears it everywhere. At school, Laura creates a club and names it after her hat – Pig City. Every member of the club needs to give a secret insurance – for example an embarrassing secret! The reason for this is that if they reveal the secret club their insurance will be shown to the whole school!
