Ottoline and the Yellow Cat by Chris Riddell

I liked the book because it was a mystery and you never knew what was going to happen next. It has very well drawn pictures which are very detailed. I read it lots of times because I liked it so much. I thought Ottoline might be rich because she had so many services. If you like mysteries you would like this book, I want to read the other Ottoline books now.

Dragon: The Five Ancestors by Jeff Stone
This book will enchant you. It tells you about China in old times. It is about a ninja monk called Long (aka Golden Dragon). Long's soul animal is a dragon. Long is a monk at Cangzhen Temple. The temple gets destroyed in one of the books and the Grand Master is killed. Long and his brothers Malao, Fu and Hok have to stop evil Tonglong from taking over. Can they do it alone? I recommend this book for 8+. It is an amazing book.

George Speaks by Dick King Smith

I really like George Speaks because I find it very funny. I like the dream George's sister has when she brings George to school. I found it really funny when George plays the April fool's joke on his family. My dad first read George Speaks to me when I was 5 and I have read it 5 or 6 times since and I still enjoy it and find it really funny now that I am 9!

Jacky Daydream by Jacqueline Wilson

This book is great for kids that feel unhappy. It opens a gate of freedom. This book is about Jacqueline Wilson's life when she was young, from a tough start look how much fame she has now! I think this book would be good for children age 10 and above because it could be seen as depressing.
