Opal Plumstead by Jacqueline Wilson
Review by Cupcakequeen74
This is a story about a girl called Opal Plumstead who gives up her scholarship to work at the Fairy Glen Street Factory after she and her family uncover a life-changing secret about her father.
My favourite character was Opal as I love the way she deals with all the hard times in her life. I like this book because it tells you how Opal deals with everything and how she reacts when certain things happen. I would recommend it to a person who loves girly books and people between 9 and 14 (and remember it is a very girly book!).

Lizzie Zipmouth by Jacqueline Wilson
Review by pwincess64
I liked this book only a little bit. The character only talked to her great-gran, no one else. This makes it a good because it shows how a girl can quickly bond with her great-stepgran.

Mischief at Midnight by Esme Kerr
Review by Bubblegum Boy
This book was not my type of story as it was too long for me and I think it was aimed at older children, maybe Year 9 and 10 students. I would recommend it to girls who are interested in stories about friendship and adventure.

Itchcraft by Simon Mayo
Review by NH
Itch is a boy who is very interested in science. His mission is to collect different types of elements from the periodic table. When somebody gets their hands on one of the dangerous elements Itch has made himself, it becomes a huge target for dangerous terrorists. I think Itchcraft is a great book with great adventures.
It is very interesting and the book is packed with action. I would suggest this book to people who enjoy science but it could also be interesting for people who don’t. I enjoyed the book myself and I would give it to a 10-16 year old as it is a great detailed book.

Happy Holidays by Jacqueline Wilson
Review by DK
This is a book for the summer holidays full of fun stories. My favourite character from all the stories is Hetty because she is really funny. Some of the things the girls do on the beach is very funny as well, for example when Tracy bury her under the ground and leave her there for a joke.
I would recommend this book to people aged 11-13 because I really enjoyed it but it was very hard for my little sister so I read it to her and helped her understand it.
