Blood Ties by Sophie McKenzie

Sophie McKenzie, Blood Ties

Review by Caitlin

This book is about a boy trying to search for his father but on the way he meets a girl who might have a connection to him... Will they find what they are looking for?

I really liked this book because you can never expect what is going to happen and it is full of surprises. I couldn't put it down and I think you will love it too. All of the people I know have said great things about it and finished it within a short amount of time. Please go and read this book and when you finish it then there is a second one called Blood Ransom which is amazing.

Geek Girl – Model Misfit by Holly Smale

Holly Smale, Geek Girl: Model Misfit

Review by Esther

This is the second Geek Girl book in the series. Geek Girl is probably one of my favourite books. I love the way you can relate to Harriet even though you are not in the same situation. One of my favourite things about Model Misfit is that just when you think you've solved the problem, something pops up and you're back to your list of suspects. I like how she keeps the same story line from Geek to Chic and how the book is really down to earth. I would recommend this book for readers 12+.

Dead Time by Anne Cassidy

Anne Cassidy, Dead Time: The Murder Notebooks

Review by Nicole

Dead Time is focused on Joshua and his step sister Rose. Rose and Joshua lived a normal life with their parents for five years but it all went strange and mysterious after their parents went missing one night and never came back. Rose was sent to live with her Grandmother and Joshua was living with his Uncle.

Five years went past and they met up together for the first time. They are trying to solve this mystery. I love these books and have nearly read the whole series, including Killing Rachel, Butterfly Grave and, Dead and Buried. I would recommend these books to people who like mysteries and murder books. Will they ever find their parents…?

Roxy's Baby by Cathy MacPhail

Cathy MacPhail, Roxy

Review by Maddy

Roxy's Baby is one of the best books I've EVER read! From the beginning, the characters and storyline grip you and make you never want to put the book down…

Roxy's character is a person who you feel very sorry for and you want the story to be good in the end. When Roxy gets pregnant by accident at a party, the Dyces are the people who are there for her at the right time.

They take her in and promise a world without pain and sadness with her baby. The ever-loving couple turn out to be monsters in disguise, and Roxy soon finds herself in a world full of lies, deceit and problems that she wishes had never happened…
