I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai
Review by ZS
‘Who is Malala?’ the gunman demanded. ‘I am Malala and this is my story.’
This book will tell you about how Malala stood up for education and was shot by the Taliban. Malala is the one who fought for girls’ education in Pakistan and won the Nobel Peace Prize.
I am Malala will inspire you to speak up for yourself and to not be scared of threats. Personally I think that I am Malala will tell you what life was like in Pakistan and how to fight for what you believe in. It is a great book

Coco Caramel by Cathy Cassidy
Review by Cupcakequeen74
This book is one of the best books I have ever read. This is because all of the characters are really funny (especially Coco) and have creative personalities.
My favourite part of the story was when Lawrie and Coco successfully managed to rescue the abused horses from Seddon. I also appreciate the way Coco and her sisters manage to deal with all the difficult situations at home.
I would recommend this to a girl who loves girly books.

Ratburger by David Walliams
Review by pwincess64
Zoe has many problems in her life like: being bullied, her pet hamster dying, being poor, having an annoying stepmother, having no friends and being suspended from school. However when she becomes friends with a rat, whose name is Armitage, her stepmother wants the rat out.
Sheila calls an exterminator to get rid of the rat and Zoe finds out that Burt, the exterminator, makes burgers out of rats. Will anyone believer her? This is my favourite David Walliams book I have read and I give it five stars!

Moone Boy: The Blunder Years by Chris O’Dowd
Review by A.A256
It is a fun, diverting comedy about a boy and his friends. The boy is a victim of bullies. My favourite character is Loopy Lou, he is belly-achingly funny.
I would give this book to older readers because it has language that some may be uncomfortable with (although I personally found it hilarious!).

Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer by John Grisham
Review by HHT
I recently read a book called Theodore Boone. This is about a thirteen year old future crime lawyer in a struggle. There’s been a murder and only Theo knows the truth...
This book is funny and it makes you wonder if you would like to be a part of the law and what it would be like to be on the other side.

Heather the Violet Fairy by Daisy Meadows
Review by pwincess64
This is the first book I have read from the Rainbow Magic series.
I really liked this book because it tells how two friends, Rachel and Kirsty, save all of the Seven Rainbow Fairies and defeat Jack Frost.
By finding the Seven Rainbow Fairies, Rachel and Kirsty have brought colour back to Fairyland. I think this book deserves five stars!

Anya’s Ghost by Vera Brosgol
Review by KiKi
I recently read a book called Anya’s Ghost which was for me very interesting and different from the usual books I read as I never usually read comics at home or at school.
The story is about Anya, a high school Russian-American girl who gets lost in the woods and ends up finding the bones of a dead girl called Emily whose spirit comes to life and then chaos ensues between them.
My favourite character in the book was Anya because she realises who her true friends are and what she succeeds to be isn’t really what she expected.
I would recommend this book because it is funny and very interesting right from the first page. You have to read it to believe it!

Girl, Missing by Sophie McKenzie
Review by Ellie
This book is about a girl who is on a mission to find her birth parents and ends up finding out some mysterious things about her past.
I like this book because it is exactly my type of thing! My favourite character was Madison (the littlest sister) because she managed to stand up to her mean older sister.
I would recommend this book to people who like exciting reads!

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Review by MarsBar
I really enjoyed this book because there was lots of tension. Katniss volunteers for her loved sister Prim and takes her place in the Hunger Games against twenty three other contestants. There will be only one winner and twenty three losers, and this is a fight to the death!
I like Katniss because she is very warrior-like and it is very touching when she risks her life for Prim.
I would recommend this book to people who are ten years old and over, and people who enjoy dystopias.
