Dead End Kids: Heroes of the Blitz by Bernard Ashley
Review by NH
Josie was a normal girl until a bombing occurred in her city. Will Josie be safe? And will she survive? From the beginning of the book the action starts straight away. I enjoyed the book a lot and it was interesting. It was hard to understand at times but if you carry on reading you will know what a great action-packed book this is. I would recommend it to teenagers as it is a deadly and extraordinary book.

Rock War by Robert Muchamore
Review by Tan02
Rock War is about four boys trying to become famous and rich, unlike every kid in the world – no pressure then! These boys are in a band and have crazy good skills but they always comment about stupid little things which will make it hard for them to be a famous band if a school talent show is hard for them.
I thought the book was very detailed in some places and not much in other places which can make it hard to read in some parts of the book. I found it hard reading little chunks but you should know that not everyone has the time to read a book like this in one go. The book did get a bit boring at times but I think if you settle down and read it in big sections it would make more sense. I recommend anyone into music or who loves drama to read this book. I also think you have to spend a good hour or two reading this book just to get it right and to understand it properly and be warned it might take a long time to read it as it has 385 pages! The front cover is amazing though, nothing like I have seen from a book cover before, totally cool and amazing! Thank you for reading this review!

Lottery Boy by Michael Byrne
Review by BA
In my opinion this book is not for people aged between 9 and 13, I think this is more for the 14 to 16 age group. I think this because when I read the first eleven pages I was very confused and I did not understand where the zombies and skate boarding arena came from. If a child does wish to read this book at a young age then I think that they may spoil it for themselves. This is because while they may know what happens they might not understand it.
In the book there is a lot of swearing but it does not mention this on the cover. This is a problem because the author may have written other good books but people may assume there is swearing in them too. In conclusion I think I have definitely spoiled this book for myself and it would have been better to read it at an older age.
