A man has allegedly driven a vehicle at group of people during a fight in a remote central Australian community, striking two.

The 22-year-old was charged with a slew of offences after allegedly targeting the group on Tuesday in Nyirripi, 415km northwest of Alice Springs.

These include hit and run causing serious harm and recklessly endangering a life, Northern Territory police said on Monday.

He was scheduled to appear in Alice Springs court and is also charged with drive a motor vehicle while unlicensed and drive an unregistered motor.

Two men aged 18 and 24, suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.

A woman aged 28 was taken to a local clinic with non-life threatening injuries after she was struck to the head with an edged weapon during the same disturbance.

Nyirripi is an Indigenous community and has a population of about 240 people.
