Group on scrambler bikes filmed doing doughnuts in Swansea park and churning up the grass

A group of off-road motorcyclists have been caught on camera churning up grassy areas outside residential flats in the north of Swansea.

Around ten bikers were caught on camera as they descended on the green areas next to flats off Heol Gwyrosydd in Penlan on Sunday, December 19.

They were seen performing doughnuts and leaving muddy patches in the grass, before at least one of them crossed the highway and rode around the land at the front of Penlan Social Club.

One resident who witnessed the display said: "I had my two grandchildren with me when a group of about ten came past us by the bus stop.

"They totally messed up all the grass, spinning mud everywhere. My granddaughter, who is eight, was crying and afraid they were going to run us over. One boy even had the cheek to wave when he could see I was videoing them".

A South Wales Police spokesman said: "Off road biking continues to be a concern for local communities, and South Wales Police will investigate any such issues reported to us. We encourage anyone who has concerns connected to off road bikes in their area to report them to us via our online portal https://bit.ly/SWPReportOnline or by calling 101.”
