A "group of youths" were spotted "running" from the scene of a frightening single car collision in Dublin on Wednesday.
Gardai and Dublin Fire Brigade attended the road traffic collision at the Quays just after noon.
Upon arrival, DFB came across the car which was flipped over on its roof and was seriously damaged.

The car did not collide with another vehicle but instead, struck a barrier which caused it to turn over.
The crew had to send two fire engines from Dolphin's Barn and an ambulance to the scene at Usher's Quay.

There was no occupant of the vehicle on arrival and the road was closed at Oliver Bond for a time.

When no one was found at the scene, the ambulance was subsequently released to attend other calls and recovery was organised by Gardai.

In a statement to Dublin Live, Gardai said that "at approximately 12 noon on 3rd April a car was abandoned after it struck a barrier and flipped onto its roof at Usher Street, Dublin.

"It’s understood a number of youths were seen running from the scene. There was no one injured.
"No arrests have been made to date and enquiries are ongoing."
