Group of young people allegedly assaulted woman in Civic

A group of six young people allegedly assaulted a woman in Civic earlier this month.

The woman was taken to hospital after the alleged incident for her injuries to be treated.

Police allege the group attacked the woman on City Walk between Ainslie Place and Akuna Street, about 8.40pm on November 3.

As part of the investigation into this incident, police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault who has not already spoken to police.

In particular police, would like to speak to a man who confronted the alleged offenders and assisted the woman.

He is described as being bald, of solid build, and wearing shorts and a black short-sleeved shirt.
