A group in the west has organised a fundraiser with proceeds going towards building a new community grass pitch and they have €40,000 worth of prizes to give away.
The Dromahair Arts and Recreation Centre Association in Co Leitrim on Thursday launched their ‘Win A Luxury Holiday’ initiative aimed at developing the amenity.
The organisers are offering a travel voucher for Trailfinders worth €16,000 along with €4,000 in spending money — there are two first prizes worth a hefty €40,000.
Speaking on the day of the launch of the fundraiser, Treasurer for DARC Merv Keegan said: “Dromahair Arts & Recreation Centre Association are extremely excited to officially launch our new fundraiser.
“With more and more people starting to look at travelling overseas again in 2022 as we exit the pandemic, we’re giving not one but two lucky winners the opportunity to go on not only one trip of a lifetime, but potentially many.”
The vouchers have great flexibility as they are transferable, unlimited in terms of the number of holidays you can go on and have no expiry date. Trailfinder’s vouchers also provide the benefit of being all inclusive and they will arrange flights, accommodation and holiday activities.
This fundraiser will run until January 4, 2022 and the money raised will be used to improve the sporting facilities in the community of Dromahair and the surrounding villages.
Tickets are on sale at www.winaluxuryholiday.ie and their target is to sell 12,995 tickets at €20 each.
Three tickets can also be purchased for €50 or six for €100.
