An area of ground more than 100 meters long shifted at the Matsukawaura fishing port in Soma, Fukushima Prefecture, in Saturday's quake, causing differences of up to 10 centimeters in the level of the quay.

Liquefaction also appears to have occurred in some parts of the area. Gray sand was spewing out from cracks in the asphalt near the wharf, in an area about two meters square.

A fisherman said, "It's not as bad as the Great East Japan Earthquake, but I was surprised to see the damage again."
