Groom checks his phone as bride walks down the aisle because 'crypto never sleeps'

A groom checked his phone as his blushing bride walked down the aisle - because 'crypto never sleeps'.

TikTok user Taylor Loren shared her unique wedding story with her 25,000 followers in a video that has since gone viral, with over two million views in the first week.

In the video, her husband can be seen stood at the alter in a rich blue suit, with his beard trimmed just so, grinning as his bride-to-be walks towards him.

Then, seemingly out of nowhere, he pulled out his mobile phone and has a quick scroll through his notifications, before putting it away again and turning his attention back to the wedding.

Captioning the video, Taylor wrote: “Four years ago today I walked down the aisle to marry the love of my life.

“It was one of the most important & emotional moments of our life - and my husband did the most romantic thing...

“He checked his phone.”

After the initial success of the video, Taylor did a follow up where she revealed they were still married - and asked her husband why he checked his phone.

With a wry smile, he replies: "Cause crypto never sleeps."

The video proved divisive as many TikTok users commented on the post, with some chastising the man and others understanding his behaviour.

One user wrote: "Vows are probably on his phone. Chill."

While another said: "It's a nervous thing."

And a third added: "It's a way to deal with that kind of moment, sometimes good times are overwhelming and we don't know how to handle them."

But others weren't so understanding. One user added: "I'd turn around and walk away."

Thankfully, Taylor could see the funny side and replied: "He was sooooo nervous! I thought it was funny."
