Gro coffee chain take customers behind the scenes of new Ayr outlet

Ayr's newest coffee shop has taken customers behind the scenes of its exciting makeover.

Gro Coffee is preparing to move in to the former Frankie & Benny's restaurant at Whitletts Roundabout.

It will mark the second outlet for the popular brand which currently has an operation in Irvine's Harbour Street.

In an update for their Facebook followers today, they said: "Wee site update on next spot in Ayr!

"Playing with some layouts etc, door and windows to be replaced to floor to maximize natural light, need to pick an awesome gorgeous floor, lighting, seating and do something beautiful outside!

"Please thoughts ideas welcome."

The dog-friendly organic coffeehouse are big on sustainability and using local suppliers.

The cafe boasts its own in-house bakery where their mouth-watering cakes and bakes are produced.

The team have even featured as finalists in the Scottish Food Awards twice.

The new venue will sport Gro’s trademark deep charcoal frontage.

The grand opening has yet to be announced.
