Grinning wanted man who robbed taxi driver found hiding out in Scotland

A wanted Liverpool man has been located, arrested and returned to prison after he was found in Scotland, police said.

Terrence Gilmore, 36, was wanted by police after breaching the conditions for his sentence for a robbery.

Merseyside Police revealed Gilmore was found in Scotland after an appeal was launched to find him.

It's understood he was located in the Aberdeen area.

The force tweeted to say: "Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal to find wanted man Terrence Gilmore from Liverpool.

"He has now been located in Scotland and returned to prison."

Gilmore was previously hunted by police and found after he injured himself on railings years ago.

In November 2017 emergency services were called to Kirkdale after receiving reports of a man with serious leg wounds.

The man was Terrence Gilmore and he was taken to hospital for treatment after he suffered lacerations to both his legs after injuring himself on railings on Alderney Road, in Kirkdale.

He was later arrested on suspicion of a taxi driver robbery.
