Grinning Line Of Duty star looks dramatically different to bent copper Ryan Pilkington

Line of Duty's Gregory Piper was all smiles as he made his way to drama school.

The actor, who played PC Ryan Pilkington up until his death in the police drama, was in high spirits as he arrived to present a drama class on Tuesday.

He and his girlfriend Becca Fuller lead the drama class for young people.

The 23-year-old walked into a West Midlands church wearing blue skinny jeans, a navy hoodie and black Vans.

Gregory started playing Ryan when he just 13-years-old back in series one.

His character was originally recruited into the Organised Crime Group by Tommy Hunter due to his rough upbringing and was made to steal phones and work as a courier.

In series five, viewers saw him as training to become a police officer - so the OCG could keep tabs on what the cops knew of their clandestine ops.

In the latest series, his place in the gang has become a crucial part of the plot as he became a trained police officer to keep close watch over Operation Lighthouse - the investigation into Gail Vella's murder.

Fast forward to the last two weeks, fans were left on the edge of their seats when Kate Fleming, Jo Davidson and Ryan were in the middle of a shootout.

Many believed Kate would be left dead after viewers heard gunshots in the closing scene.

However, the penultimate episode started with corrupt Ryan dead on the floor after being shot by Kate.

Following Gregory's success as the villain fans love to hate, it's rumoured he's in talks with BBC bosses to star in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.

A source told The Sun : "Gregory is a household name because of his turn as evil Ryan.

“The pinnacle for Strictly bookers is someone well known but also someone who is on the BBC, and Gregory ticks both of those boxes."

*Line Of Duty airs this Sunday at 9pm on BBC1
