Grinning Donald Trump spends weekend playing golf and he's still wearing his MAGA hat

Donald Trump has spent his first weekend as a former President of the United States in his usual fashion by playing golf.

The 74-year-old, who snubbed Joe Biden's inauguration in favour of his own farewell rally and a flight to Florida, was seen playing a couple of rounds at his West Palm Beach club golf course.

An avid golfer, Trump is known for taking refuge in the game following political defeats and was seen playing at his Virginia course after losing the election.

During his time at the White House he was regularly seen on the golf course and it seems he plans to spend his unemployment in a similar way.

Wearing his signature red 'Make America Great' baseball cap, Trump waved to a small crowd of supporters as his motorcade made its way back to his Mar-a-Lago resort.

The ex-president grinned through the window despite facing his impeachment trial next month as speculation over the state of his marriage increases.

Trump and a stony-faced Melania landed in Florida on Wednesday.

In one final snub to the Biden administration they skipped the inauguration to fly to their Florida residence amid reports they fired the butlers before the new president arrived at the White House.

The former president's grinning face comes as he faces his impeachment trial in the Senate next month.

He is the first president in US history to be impeached twice, and when the Senate convenes for his trial will be the first president tried after leaving office.

His latest charge stems from his incendiary speech to
supporters before they stormed the Capitol in deadly riots on January 6.

Yesterday Trump broke his silence after leaving Washington DC and hinted at a 2024 presidential run, saying: “We’ll do something, but not just yet.”
