'Grimsby are doomed' - Chelsea fans love what Frank Lampard has done ahead of Carabao Cup tie

Chelsea fans have been reacting to the starting lineup that has been named for the third round Carabao Cup tie against Grimsby Town.

Frank Lampard has named a team that he will hope is good enough to ease past their League Two opposition, as the Blues look to bounce back from a 2-1 Premier League defeat to Liverpool last weekend.

Much to the excitement of Chelsea fans, the lineup includes a couple of players returning from injury. Both Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James have spent the summer and the start of the season undergoing rehabilitation in an attempt to return from injury as quickly as possible.

Hudson-Odoi ruptured his Achilles tendon against Burnley at the end of last season, while James picked up his injury while on international duty with England U21s during the summer.

There are also starts for other young players, including Billy Gilmour and Marc Guehi, with Pedro and Marcos Alonso bringing the experience factor to the named team.

While changes have been made in an attempt to rotate the team during a busy period for the Blues, fans have taken to social media to show their delight at the team that has been named.
