The singer Grimes says she was hospitalized this week after suffering a panic attack.
Grimes, 33, wrote about the experience late Tuesday in an Instagram post, in which she shared behind-the-scenes photos from “Saturday Night Live” after appearing on last weekend’s episode hosted by her boyfriend, Elon Musk.
“Forgot to post these cuz I somehow caused myself to have a panic attack and went to the hospital yesterday which (to be honest) was quite scary and I suppose it’s a good time to start therapy,” Grimes wrote.
“But nonetheless - wowwwww @mileycyrus is good live and so chill! So grateful to the SNL team for being so kind and letting me sneak in as princess peach snd so proud of my beautiful E (which I know will upset the grimes fans so I apologize in advance) but he killed it.”
The photos featured Grimes dressed as Princess Peach from the Nintendo video games. She appeared as the character in an “SNL” courtroom sketch in which Wario, played by Musk, is accused of killing Mario.
In her Instagram post, Grimes was pictured alongside Cyrus, who was the musical guest on Saturday’s episode.
Musk, the owner of Tesla and founder of SpaceX, and Grimes began dating in 2018. They welcomed their son, X AE A-Xii, last year.
The Vancouver-born Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, is known for songs such as “Genesis” and “We Appreciate Power.”
