Grimes Apologizes For Technical Issues During Coachella Performance

twitter new version X

Grimes issued an apology to fans for technical issues that marred her Coachella performance. The musician took to X to express her regrets after facing equipment malfunctions during her 50-minute DJ set on the Sahara Stage. Videos circulating online captured Grimes visibly frustrated and attempting to address the problems to the crowd.

In her post, Grimes revealed that she typically manages all aspects of her shows but had outsourced tasks like rekordbox bpms and organizing the tracklist for this performance. She admitted to having a premonition about potential issues due to not personally overseeing the setup on the CDJs. Grimes assured fans that she would take control of organizing the files herself for her upcoming Coachella Weekend 2 appearance to ensure a flawless show.

The musician acknowledged the effort she had put into the show's music and visuals but expressed her current state of mind, promising a better experience for the next performance. Grimes concluded her message with a plea for forgiveness and a declaration of love to her supporters.

Regarding her personal life, Grimes promoted an upcoming Coachella performance by DJ Anyma on X, sparking speculation about their relationship amid her ongoing custody battle with Elon Musk. The former couple has been embroiled in legal disputes over the parental relationship of their three children, with Grimes filing a petition in Los Angeles in April 2022 and Musk filing a similar lawsuit in Texas the previous September.

Despite the contentious claims in their legal filings, Grimes and Musk recently displayed an amicable interaction on X, hinting at a potential shift in their relationship dynamics.
