
Paramedics have treated an elderly man who was trapped in his car for a short time after a crash on Griffiths Road at Lambton on Friday.
Five NSW Ambulance crews were called to the scene around 2.30pm, after a reports a car and a truck had been involved in a collision.
The road was closed at the intersection of Turton Road causing significant traffic delays as emergency crews worked to free the man and clear the way.
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
Griffiths Road was closed to all eastbound traffic for more than an hour after the crash. Drivers have been told to expect delays, and urged to travel safely.
