Griffin Webster names Rannoch Properties boss Greg Dykes as director

Commercial property agent Griffin Webster has appointed Greg Dykes as a director.

The move formalises a partnership formed between the Glasgow-based firm and Rannoch Property boss Dykes two years ago.

Dykes worked in London as an asset manager for property funds before returning to Glasgow and forming Rannoch Property in 2014. He previously as an in-house property manager for Taylor Woodrow Property Company and City Site Estates.

Griffin Webster, a surveyors' practice which advises on acquisition and sales of premises, was formed in 1984 by former Lambert Smith Hampton surveyor David Griffin and Richie Webster in 1984.

Griffin said: “I have been planning to do this for a few years and Greg is the right person to work with our clients and team. I have introduced him to several of our clients and the feedback from them is very encouraging.

"We have formalised the relationship and we are both delighted that Greg is a director of the company. As for myself, I’m not quitting yet and will still deal with acquisitions, rent reviews and lease renewals.”

Dykes said: “I have been working from Griffin Webster, dealing with commercial property sales and lettings alongside David Griffin, one of the founding partners of the firm. We get on very well together, and I am looking to growing the business with him.

"Looking ahead, surprisingly there is still demand for shop and warehouse premises and remotely, we have managed to complete a few deals in recent weeks. Overall, I am very confident about the future of our industry.”
